Workday Test Lead

Responsibilities

• Workday Test Lead will work closely with the Project Manager, business and technical teams with the review and validation of requirements deliverable’s and managing risks.
• The Test Lead will be responsible for the planning and execution of quality assurance testing to identify, reproduce and report defects in software.
• The Test Lead will be responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met, and that the solution works as expected.
• Develop and define the testing approach for the Workday HCM Application.
• Define the entrance and exit criteria requirements.
• Define and develop test scenarios and identify required test scripts.
• Define issue tracking and resolution process with holistic approach to defined business processes designed for your client.
• Gather test data and provide testing statistics.
• and define an ongoing testing process to be used after go-live.
• The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other legacy- and / or external systems.
• Complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner and reporting progress.
• Develop a plan for staffing projections.
• Manage testers during the appropriate activities.

Required Skills

• Expertise in implementing a holistic test strategy across a large scale program.
• Understanding of all aspects of CICD.
• Knowledge of Corporate (HR, Finance and Procurement) processes.
• Certified Tester with any of the following: CSTE, CSQA, CMST, CSQE.

Required Experience

• 6 to 8 + years of experience testing multiple HCM projects with very strong understanding of HR Business processes from hire to retire life cycle.
• Experience with full life cycle software deployment in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Software as a Service / ERP testing (Workday preferred).
• Experience with current testing methodologies, tools, approaches and best practices.
• Agile experience, specifically leveraging JIRA, Confluence, and Agile ceremonies.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
