The Workday Integration Developer Lead is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex Workday integrations to meet the dynamic needs of Client. This role works closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure efficient and scalable integration solutions that align with architectural standards and organizational goals. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Workday Studio and related integration technologies, strong leadership abilities, and a collaborative approach to development and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new financial integrations within the Workday platform
- Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure reliability and performance of solutions
- Provide ongoing support for Workday inbound and outbound integration issues and enhancements
- Write and maintain design and functional specifications for integrations
- Manage the full product development lifecycle, including analysis, design, deployment, and integration
- Develop component and data architecture, and monitor system performance
- Lead the planning, design, and architecture phases of development efforts
- Serve as the Workday Integration Subject Matter Expert (SME) across the organization
- Support incident management and integration monitoring
- Participate in system maintenance activities, including version updates and patch management
- Mentor, coach, and provide technical leadership to other developers
- Collaborate with internal technical teams and external vendors to ensure product quality and alignment with strategic goals
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of job-related work experience (Lead level) in addition to degree requirements
- Hands-on experience with Workday Integrations, including:
- Workday Studio, Cloud Connect, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
- Calculated Fields, Business Processes, BIRT Reports, Integration Security
- Experience supporting Java/OpenShift applications that exchange data with Workday
- Strong communication skills for documenting and conveying integration designs and specifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday PRISM, Extend, Workday Reporting, and financial system integrations
- Proficiency with API-based integrations (SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, XSLT, XPath)
Experience with:
- Oracle PL/SQL, Java, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Maven, Jenkins
- Ansible Tower, Splunk, Application Performance Monitoring
- Background in Linux environments and financial systems such as:
- Collateral and Credit Management
- Treasury
- Settlements and Billing
- BlackLine Cash Application
- Experience with SOA-based integration products
Certifications
- Workday certifications are a plus, though not required
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, MIS, or a related field
- A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
