Job Overview
Accenture is seeking an experienced Workday Extend Developer with a robust background in Workday Integrations and custom application development. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in Workday Extend and related technologies to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions that enhance HR system functionalities. Although this is a 100% remote position, candidates must be based within the US and local to Chicago, IL.
Key Responsibilities
- Custom Application Development:
Design, develop, and implement custom applications and extensions using Workday Extend. - Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Team Integration:
Collaborate with Workday functional teams to ensure seamless integration of custom solutions. - Agile Participation:
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. - Documentation:
Develop and maintain technical documentation such as design specifications, test plans, and user guides. - Testing & Quality Assurance:
Perform unit testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate custom solutions. - Troubleshooting:
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to custom Workday applications and integrations. - Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with Workday’s latest features to continuously enhance and optimize solutions. - Ongoing Support:
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed Workday applications and extensions.
Required Qualifications
- Workday Extend Development:
2-3 years of hands-on experience in Workday Extend development. - Integration Expertise:
Strong knowledge of Workday architecture and integration capabilities, with 2-3 years of direct experience in Workday Integrations. - Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in JavaScript, XML, and XSLT for Workday custom development. - Agile Experience:
Proven experience working in an Agile environment, with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies. - Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
Excellent problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. - Communication Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications:
Workday Extend certification or other relevant Workday certifications. - Additional Tools:
Experience with Workday Studio and familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs. - HR Systems Knowledge:
Knowledge of HR processes and systems, with experience in Workday Extend HR implementations. - Bonus Skill:
Experience with Workday Prism is a plus.
Education & Industry Requirements
- Educational Background:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Industry Experience:
Direct industry experience in Workday Extend HR implementations is required. Candidates without direct Workday Extend experience in HR implementations will not be considered.
