The Administrative Modernization Program (AMP) Conversion Developer works within AMP guidance to deliver quality extract files converting financial data from source ERP system to destination ERP for end-to-end testing. The AMP Conversion Developer works under the direction of the AMP Conversion Lead, with our System Integration Conversion Lead, and functional area leads to map source data to destination, and update extract files to reflect those additional mappings. The AMP Conversion Developer will be responsible for successful delivery of multiple FIN conversion files, in alignment with existing development team standards, leveraging AMP / OSU development tools, ensuring use of standardized development methodologies, processes, and tools. Working closely with business analysts, the incumbent will have a working knowledge of Information Technology, consisting of an understanding of data, FIN business processes, and will leverage this knowledge to effectively support projects within AMP. The AMP Conversion Developer is expected to deliver high quality extracts adhering to best practices for Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Position Duties
Conversion Developer (95% of role):
- Guide functional leads through mapping, pre validation, and post validation activities.
- Interpret mapping activities into crosswalks and manifest data specification for both source and destination at a field and table level.
- Render technical specifications in extract code in alignment with best practices and performance considerations.
- Participate in peer review of other developer’s extract code and provide actionable, meaningful feedback.
- Deliver extracts for pre-validation on target dates.
- Work with functional lead to review and gain approval on pre-validation and submit extracts on time to the specified extract location.
- After extracts are run in end-to-end environment, work with functional lead to conduct post validation activities.
- Facilitate functional leads and other subject matter experts to log issues (with the appropriate priority) in the conversion bug tracker.
- Resolve issues identified in a prioritized fashion.
- Participate in daily conversion team meetings.
- Follow AMP architectural standards or requirements for change management.
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Participate and contribute to AMP project lessons learned reviews, document process strengths and limitations, and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Escalate barriers, issues, risks to the AMP conversion lead clearly and with recommendations for resolution.
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Other Duties as Assigned (5% of role):
- Participate in appropriate activities that enhance general knowledge of, or ability to do, assigned work.
- Participate in AMP processes and initiatives, including change management, RAID management, etc.

Minimum/Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent from previous experience.
- Experience building and optimizing relational database queries in SQL.
- Experience with source control systems such as Git, GitHub, SVN, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL or Equivalent Languages
- Strong experience writing efficient data extraction logic using PL/SQL or similar technologies (e.g., Python, SQL*Plus, Oracle SQL Developer, etc.).
- Ability to develop maintainable and high-performance scripts for querying and transforming data.
- Oracle SQL Performance Tuning
- Strong understanding of query optimization techniques, execution plans, and indexing strategies.
- Ability to analyze and improve the performance of large-scale data extraction processes.
- Experience with Oracle Data Extraction and ETL Processes
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing efficient data extraction routines.
- Familiarity with tools and techniques for moving data between Oracle and external systems (e.g., flat files, APIs, or ETL tools like EIBs).
- Four years’ experience writing code project(s) (IT or otherwise).
- Two or more years with FIN/ ERP specific data
- Experience working independently as a developer and in team-oriented, collaborative environments.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Business/Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with enterprise-wide reporting projects leveraging both FIN and Grants data in an institutional setting
- Experience performing data conversion from Banner to Workday
