Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Windows Server Administrator who demonstrates a commitment to customer service and possesses strong technical skills. The ideal candidate will be proficient in working with Windows Server/desktop operating systems, user administration, file systems, software, and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer Windows Server/desktop operating systems, users, file systems, software, and services.
  • Understand server and various storage RAID configurations.
  • Manage Active Directory, including backup and recovery of domain and GPO setup.
  • Troubleshoot fundamental networking concepts such as DHCP, DNS, Routing, and Firewall.
  • Apply fundamental security principles, including ACL and Encryption.
  • Script using PowerShell, bash, ksh, or perl for automating routine tasks.
  • Monitor system health and performance, provide statistics to identify bottlenecks, and lead optimization efforts.
  • Plan and perform disaster recovery, including backup and restore for systems, applications, and data.
  • Manage patch and firmware installations.
  • Provide strong customer service with a plus-1 end-user support experience.

Skills:

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and flexible to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Exercise good judgment and render sound business decisions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to produce documentation on solutions and system design.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Information Technology) with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in IT Support.
  • Strong technical knowledge of various computing platforms from servers, networks, storage, including scripting experience for automation.
  • Ability to lift/transport server equipment when needed.
  • Provide off-hour, on-call support for workstation, server, and other system-related issues that require travel to various supported sites.
  • Willing and able to work overtime and be flexible with work hours to respond to emergencies or scheduled work outside normal business hours.
  • Have the means and ability to travel to various company locations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer, the candidate must be on the submitting vendor’s W2.
  • Face-to-face interviews are not required.
