WebSphere Portal Consultant

Job description:

·         The client is seeking a skilled WebSphere Portal Consultant with 6–8 years of experience supporting WebSphere Portal / HCL DX (Digital Experience) environments in a clustered Linux setup.

·         The role involves administration of WebSphere Portal, Web Content Management, and WebSphere Application Server, including portal page design, portlet configuration, and content syndication across environments.

·         The candidate will be responsible for upgrades, migrations, applying fix packs, and supporting deployments across development, staging, and production environments.

·         Must have hands-on experience with scripting tools such as xmlaccess, configengine, wsadmin, and jacl/jython, and should be comfortable working with Apache/IHS as a frontend webserver.

·         Troubleshooting performance issues related to infrastructure, databases, and portal interfaces is essential, along with providing after-hours support when needed.

·         Experience with Oracle RDBMS, CI/CD tools (SVN, Git, Jenkins), and monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk is highly desirable.

·         The candidate will be part of a collaborative DevOps environment and must demonstrate excellent documentation and communication skills.

·         A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required. WebSphere Portal Administration certification is a plus.
