WebFOCUS Technical Lead

Your Key Responsibilities

• Technical leadership:
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of WebFOCUS developers.
Set standards and best practices for WebFOCUS development and deployment.
• Solution design and architecture:
Lead the design and architecture of WebFOCUS applications, reports, and dashboards.
Ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business needs.
• Project management:
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of WebFOCUS projects, ensuring timely delivery.
• Development and implementation:
Design, develop, and implement complex WebFOCUS reports, dashboards, and portals.
Integrate WebFOCUS with various data sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files.
• Performance optimization:
Monitor and optimize WebFOCUS applications to ensure high performance and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data architects, ETL developers, and business stakeholders, to align BI solutions with organizational goals.
Requirements Must Have:

• 10+ years of experience in WebFOCUS development, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering complex WebFOCUS projects on time and within budget.
• Expertise in WebFOCUS tools such as App Studio, ReportCaster, InfoAssist, and WebFOCUS Designer.
• Experience with Master Files (MAS), Access Files (ACX), and FOCUS databases.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.
• Strong team management and mentorship capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient in scripting (e.g., JavaScript) and web technologies (HTML/CSS).
• Experience with WebFOCUS performance tuning and server management.
• Familiarity with integrating WebFOCUS with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
