Position - VP/AVP/Sr. Director – Sales, Infrastructure Engineering
Location – California
Reporting to – CBO (Chief Business Officer) and Global Sales Head for Infrastructure Engineering business unit.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Sales Leader to drive growth in our IT Services and
Technology Solutions for our Infrastructure Engineering business. The ideal candidate will have a
deep understanding of the IT services landscape including cloud solutions, application
development, and digital transformation with focus on AI and a proven ability to generate new
business, nurture client relationships, and lead high-performing sales teams.
Role Requirements and Key Responsibilities -
• Seasoned sales leader based with 15+ years of experience and based out of Bay Area.
• Experience with selling end-to-end “infrastructure engineering” and “product engineering”
offerings while working for mid-size or larger Indian players like Mindteck, Calsoft, Xoriant,
HCL, Wipro, GS Labs, Agiliad, Capgemini, TCS etc.
• Strong Relationships with key stakeholders in Hi-Tech, Storage and Networking verticals.
• Prior experience selling infrastructure engineering services (not infrastructure or hardware)
to clients like HPE, NetApp, Cisco, Nutanix, Cohesity, Rubrik, Pure Storage, etc. and newer
age cloud companies.
• Additional Plus - Any other additional sales background with allied industry verticals like
MedTech, Semiconductor (Manufacturing) etc. would be a plus. Experience in consultative
selling around AI & ML offerings would be an added advantage.
• Outsourcing & Offshoring - Experience with selling different engagement models related to
outsourcing and offshoring.
• Lead and manage the sales team, setting clear targets, providing coaching, and ensuring
consistent performance and professional growth.
• Drive new business acquisition through effective prospecting, networking, and
partner/channel development.
• Own the sales pipeline, from lead generation through deal closure, ensuring accurate
forecasting and CRM hygiene.
• Engage with CXOs and IT decision-makers to understand client needs and position the
company’s solutions accordingly.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with delivery, pre-sales, marketing, and product teams to
tailor offerings to customer requirements.
• Track industry trends and competitor activities to adapt strategies and identify new
opportunities.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings, enhancing
brand visibility and credibility.
Academic and Background Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (MBA
preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in B2B IT services sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of the IT services and tech solution sales ecosystem—especially in
cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas in a services / tech solutioning
-led business.
• Demonstrated success in selling to mid-market and enterprise clients.
• Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration and negotiation skills.
• Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot).
• Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with RFP/RFI processes and consultative selling methodologies (e.g., SPIN,
Challenger).
• Experience in selling to specific verticals like BFSI, healthcare, manufacturing, or retail.
• Exposure to global delivery models and offshore/nearshore team engagement.
