Mandatory Skills : VMware + OpenShift + Python Scripting

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated VMware/OpenShift Engineer with strong Python scripting abilities to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in managing VMware and OpenShift environments and will be proficient in automating tasks using Python scripting.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain VMware virtualization infrastructure, including vSphere, ESXi hosts, and vCenter Server.
Deploy, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clusters to support containerized applications.
Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate administrative tasks, monitor system performance, and manage configurations across VMware and OpenShift environments.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources to ensure high availability and reliability.
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for VMware and OpenShift environments.
Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices, and provide training and support to other team members.
Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in virtualization, container orchestration, and automation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
years of experience in VMware administration, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server.
years of experience in managing and deploying Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and system management.
Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is a plus.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift, or equivalent are preferred
