Requirements
Education (Essential):
- 3+ year Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related quantitative field
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), is a plus.
Experience:
- 3 + years of experience working with compensation management software (Specifically Varicent)
- Proven experience as a compensation analyst or in a similar role, preferably in a medium to large-sized organization.
- Familiarity with sales compensation concepts, including quota setting, performance measurement, and payout calculations.
- Knowledge of incentive compensation plan design and administration best practices.
- Experience in a telecommunications environment highly preferred.
- Exposure to managing external vendor/supplier relationships and service level agreements.
- Track record of self-development and improvement
- Experience with SQL and databases
- Working knowledge of SaaS software applications
- On-the-job training, complemented by formal training programs in leadership and technology management (desired)

- Programming experience in BI programming Languages (SQL, PL/SQL, SAS, Python, Scala)

Technical Delivery:
- Identify, design, and configure Varicent Software solutions to meet Client’s commission calculation requirements.
· Translate compensation business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring scalable implementation of new incentive plans and modifications to existing plans within IT systems.
- Analyse CLIENT's commission models, providing guidance to business users and technical teams on configuration and implementation options.
- Estimate time and effort for functional development and defect resolution tasks.
- Offer technical guidance to Varicent developers for successful delivery of functional and implementation tasks.
- Analyse business needs and design Varicent calculation logic to meet those requirements.
- Develop and update documentation for CLIENT's Varicent Commissions Solution Design.
- Provide business stakeholders with technical insights into the Varicent platform.
- Support CLIENT’s Varicent Commissions Solution Design by analysing upstream data requirements and downstream system impacts.
- Create and maintain technical documentation to track progress and status of responsibilities under this SOW.
- Stay updated on Varicent Tool capabilities and new releases, aligning CLIENT's Varicent Commissions Solution Design accordingly in consultation with technical and business teams.
- Identify and implement efficiency enhancements for CLIENT’s Varicent Commissions Solution when required.
- Define and prioritize technical design and development tasks.
- Maintain documentation related to time tracking (Octane), design, development (Wiki pages), and progress reporting.
· Participate in regular audits and analyses of data feeding into the incentive compensation engine to identify and rectify any discrepancies or inaccuracies.
· Provide continuous support in addressing commission calculation- related inquiries and exceptions from the Commissions Business Operations (Finance).
- Provide project management support for incentive compensation projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
- Participate in the creation of the overall program work plan, ensuring CLIENT Varicent Commissions Solution dependencies are incorporated with appropriate timelines, effort estimates, and assigned responsibilities.
· Perform testing of new compensation plans and system enhancements to ensure functionality and accuracy.
· Implement changes and updates to compensation plans, working closely with other IT stakeholders to ensure successful deployment within standard CLIENTSA IT governance.
