SUMMARY
ANSYS, Inc. seeks UX Designer II to work in Canonsburg, PA and various unanticipated locations
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The User Experience Designer II will create easy and delightful experiences for users interacting with ANSYS products and services.
- The UX Designer will assess the functional and content requirements of a product, develop storyboards, create wireframes and task flows based on user needs and produce visually detailed mockups.
- Will design, develop, and evaluate cutting-edge user interfaces with increased independence.
- This role will review UX artifacts created by other UX team members.
- Will utilize prototyping tools and UX toolkits.
- Will create, review, and manage submissions to development code streams with high quality.
- Will create and deliver usability studies.
- Will communicate design rationale across product creation disciplines and personnel.
- Will record usability/UX problems with clear explanations and recommendations for improvement.
- In addition, will work closely with product managers, development teams, and other designers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction, Design Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field of study.
- Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction, Design Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field of study, and 2 (two) years of experience in a related occupation.
- Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
- Experience with Human Computer Interaction (HCI);
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator;
- Experience with CAD/CAE modeling and simulation applications: SpaceClaim, Creo, Solidworks, Fusion360 / Inventor, or Rhino;
- Experience with UX design and collaboration tools including Figma, Sketch, XD, AfterEffects, 3DS Max, InVision, or Zeplin;
- Experience with tools and technologies for UI implementation including Visual Studio, WPF, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript;
- Experience with creating and maintaining design systems for technical or scientific applications;
- Experience with designing workflow-driven or enterprise web applications for platforms that manage complex, multi-step processes and user workflows;
- Experience with creating intuitive interfaces for managing tasks, resources, and data within engineering or enterprise environments.
