Seeking a candidate to perform computer systems administration in a fast-paced semiconductor test floor environment.
This is primarily a Linux administration role however experience with Windows and networking is also required.
Candidate must work closely with semiconductor test engineers and automated test equipment (ATE) operators to ensure maximum efficiency for 24x7 operations and to troubleshoot a variety of IT-related issues.
Assigned responsibilities include Linux/Windows application installation and upgrades, Linux OS upgrades, host-level network setup, and configuring access to network-attached storage.
Frequent on-site work at lab locations in Fremont and Santa Clara is required.
Required Skills
Proficient with CentOS and RedHat 5/7/8 Linux OS installation, configuration, and system management on workstation and server hardware
Proficient with Windows XP, 7, and 10 usage and troubleshooting on laptop and workstation hardware
Working knowledge and experience with VMWare and KVM hypervisor environments
Working Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NFS, LDAP, SSH, Apache, autofs
Experience with Linux and Windows based Application installation and configuration and management
Working knowledge of license management using FlexNet and similar licensing tools
Experience with printer management in Windows and Linux environments
Experience with writing and troubleshooting task automation scripts on Windows and Linux OS
Experience using ansible for managing multiple servers
Proficient with computer networking and endpoint troubleshooting
Able to communicate effectively with end users, ATE vendors, and other IT specialists for troubleshooting of complex issues relating to test equipment operations
Desired Skills
Experience with Verigy 93K and Teradyne Test platform applications
Experience with Advantest & Teradyne diagnostic and calibration protocol
