The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, testing leadership, regulatory understanding (ACA), and stakeholder management skills. The UAT Lead will own strategy development, scenario design, test execution coordination, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the UAT lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
UAT Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement robust UAT strategies aligned with regulatory and business requirements.
- Define UAT entry and exit criteria and ensure test plans meet quality standards.
- Work with business analysts, system architects, and developers to create test scenarios and scripts.
- Lead readiness efforts for UAT environments, data sets, and supporting documentation.
Test Execution & Oversight
- Lead the coordination and execution of UAT across multiple teams, including vendors and internal business units.
- Oversee defect triage, resolution tracking, and impact analysis.
- Execute risk-based testing, regression testing, and system-to-system integration validation.
- Support performance and load testing initiatives with partners and technical teams.
- Implement test automation strategies using tools like Selenium, Tosca, or Cypress.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Liaise with IT, business, and policy stakeholders to ensure alignment of testing goals.
- Provide regular reporting through dashboards, test progress reports, and executive summaries.
- Conduct weekly status meetings, risk reviews, and post-mortem/lessons learned sessions.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, PHI, and PII data handling regulations.
- Implement best practices and frameworks (e.g., Agile, DevOps) to streamline test cycles.
- Maintain documentation including test scripts, traceability matrices, and issue logs.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, capturing key metrics and KPIs.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of QA/UAT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in cloud-based SaaS systems, API testing, and system integration testing.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology and project lifecycle management.
- Proficient in SQL, data analytics, and validation using BI tools.
- Extensive hands-on experience with JIRA, HP ALM, or other test management tools.
- Familiarity with test automation tools: Selenium, Tosca, or Cypress.
- Strong understanding of Affordable Care Act (ACA) and 834 EDI transaction sets.
Preferred Experience & Knowledge
- Prior experience with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) integration projects.
- Experience working with state exchanges, federal exchanges, or EDE partners.
- Background in government agency collaboration or contracts.
- Experience with performance/load testing coordination.
Education Requirements
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant field.

- PMP – Project Management Professional
- CSM – Certified Scrum Master
- ISTQB – Certified Tester (any level)
