Roles and Responsibilities:
- Define the scope, approach, resources and schedule for the testing activities across multiple projects
- Develop test plans, test strategy etc. and create necessary documentation in alignment with project goals
- Help build Client relationships by effective communication, timely escalations and being on top of end-to-end QA delivery lifecycle
- Carry out estimations, pricing, staffing and SOW creation for projects
- Foster open communication between team members, stakeholders and other delivery team members
- Maintain RAID logs across projects and communicate effectively and timely with stakeholders, on all issues at hand
- Create metrics' trends, quality health report and status reports to help with reporting across projects
- Review all test artifacts created by teams, manage peer review process and ensure all best practices are adhered to
- Implement testing best practices and methodologies
- Document & implement new tools & techniques for QA process improvements focused on reusability & standardization
- Set clear objectives, delegate tasks, and manage the day-to-day operations of the QA team(s) across single or multiple projects
- Oversee the defect lifecycle, ensuring that defects are properly logged, prioritized, and resolved in collaboration with the test lead, Client and development team
- Incorporate the lessons learnt from past projects to improve the future testing strategy
Skills Required:
- Must Have 4+ years of experience as a people manager leading teams with 4+ members
- Must have 4+ years' experience as a QA Lead, leading manual & automation teams
- Evaluate and procure testing tools, software licenses, and necessary infrastructure for projects, as needed
- Mentor and upskill team members with latest industry technologies, certifications and soft skills
- Conduct interviews for external and internal hiring & help with bench reserve management
- Conduct audits on QA documentation for projects to adhere to delivery excellence standards
- Able to work in an environment with shifting priorities and multiple competing demands
- Conduct walkthroughs, defect triage and manage client facing activities from QA's side
- Carry out performance management for all reportees
Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field
