Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a love for technology and a desire to support and troubleshoot various tech-related issues. The Technical Support Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that our students, faculty, and staff have the necessary technical resources to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues to students, faculty, and staff.
-Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
-Set up and maintain network and server systems, ensuring they are running efficiently and securely.
-Create and manage user accounts and permissions for network and software access.
-Respond to support requests in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
-Track and document support requests and resolutions to maintain accurate records and reports.
-Participate in the evaluation and testing of new hardware, software, and systems.
-Provide hands-on training to students and staff on the use of technology and software.
-Perform routine maintenance tasks such as updates, backups, and security checks.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support or relevant IT role.
-Demonstrated knowledge of hardware, software, and networking systems.
-Experience with troubleshooting Windows and Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite.
-Familiarity with Active Directory and network protocols.
-Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
-Customer service-oriented with a passion for helping others.
