Overview
Looking for a senior technical project manager to join our team on a contract basis. You will be working daily with the primary software development lead, assisting them in the overall timeline and delivery of complex, multi-faceted software development projects, while also publicizing to leadership and technical teams the risks, timelines, and overall status of project execution. In this role, you will perform various coordinating tasks, like scheduling and risk identification/management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project plans, while communicating changes and risks to leadership. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with multiple internal teams inside and outside our department to schedule and communicate results on deadlines while avoiding potential schedule conflicts with other teams. Ultimately, the Project Manager’s duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time while documenting and addressing risks and challenges along the way. Candidates can further distinguish themselves by exhibiting a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
· Coordinate project management activities and information
· Identify project boundaries and set their timeframes for development, testing and delivery
· Liaise with external teams to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives
· Compel schedule management
· Make sure that needs are met as projects evolve
· Analyze risks and opportunities
· Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
· Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
· Work with internal development teams to eliminate blockers
· Create, maintain and communicate project documentation, plans and reports
Requirements and skills
· Proven work experience as a project manager, project coordinator, or similar role
· Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
· An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
· Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
· Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
· Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project
