Description

➢ Guiding the deployment and lifecycle management of containerized applications on GKE, ensuring best practices for performance, scalability, and reliability
➢ Overseeing the creation, configuration, scaling, and maintenance of GKE clusters, including node pools, control plane upgrades, and network configurations
➢ Establishing robust monitoring and logging solutions for GKE clusters and applications, and leading efforts to diagnose and resolve technical issues
➢ Driving the adoption of automation tools and practices to streamline GKE operations and deployments
➢ Implementing and enforcing security best practices for GKE clusters and workloads, including IAM, network policies, secret management, and vulnerability remediation
➢ Working closely with development teams, operations teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and operation of applications on GKE
➢ Contributing to the overall cloud strategy and roadmap, ensuring that GKE deployments align with business objectives and architectural principles
➢ Leading a team of engineers or developers working with GKE, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
➢ Ownership of Jira and Agile work methodology across assigned Engineering Team
➢ Daily standup scheduling/ownership and coordination
➢ Driving defects to closure across engineering team and also coordinating discussions/communications as needed to help “fast-track” resolution or solution

➢ Deep understanding of Kubernetes concepts, GKE features, GCP services, and a strong ability to manage complex technical environments and lead technical teams
➢ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and DevSecOps practices
➢ Experience with on-premises edge deployments in industries like retail, manufacturing, or telecom
➢ Deep understanding of networking concepts: routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and service discovery
