As a Technical Program Manager - BaseOps Engineering, you'll:
- Project Management:
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and procurement teams.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings and maintain clear communication.
- Own all documentation related to special tools, diagnostics, maintenance, and inspections.
- Drive internal and external stakeholders to meet critical project deadlines.
- Prepare and lead internal project reviews throughout all phases.
- Serviceability Engineering:
- Partner with engineering, procurement, and vendors to define requirements for new tools.
- Oversee sourcing, testing, implementation, and feedback processes.
- Manage tool deployment and performance tracking.
- Support continuous improvement and compliance of the Diagnostics Tooling Program.
- Documentation Development:
- Manage and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation.
- Create and update JIRA structures for project tracking.
- Report documentation metrics, risks, and escalation paths.
- Fleet Support Engineering:
- Collaborate with fleet support and external engineering teams to manage issue reporting.
- Own JIRA ticket creation, updates, and overall ticket lifecycle.
- Track and communicate fleet issue status and resolution progress.
- Prioritization and Reporting:
- Assist in task/resource prioritization based on project and business needs.
- Generate and present reports on progress, metrics, and project status.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience as a project manager or in a similar role
- Proficient in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., JIRA, Agile, Smartsheet)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to produce and maintain project budgets and schedules and manage risk
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects at one time while maintaining priorities
- Ability to understand project interdependencies and the impact of decisions across stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to identify risks and develop risk mitigation plans
- Demonstrates awareness and upholds the highest standard for all environmental, health, and safety protocols
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters’s degree in engineering, project management or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience as a project manager or in a similar role
- 3+ years of experience in the transportation or automotive industries
- Proficiency in JIRA, Smartsheet, SAP, MS Office, Google Suite, Lucid Charts, and Slack
