Description
As part of the SPOCK application development team, you will ensure the continued success of this business critical application which maintains and presents the repository of Storage compatibility information. You will contribute to our success by maintaining and updating the user interfaces, and the utilities that facilitate easy management of compatibility data. You will also help us ensure that the SPOCK application meets all IT mandated changes and enhance the reliability of the application.
Responsibilities
· Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.
· Leads other software engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions.
· Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
· Represents the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
· Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
· Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements.
· Should be able to work in a fast-paced, iterative development methodology (Agile-Scrum).
Requirements
Education and Experience Required
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
· Typically 8-12 years' experience.
Knowledge and Skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Extensive experience in architecture, design, and data models.
· Expertise in multiple software systems design tools and industry standard algorithms.
· Experience working with JSON, Remote Objects, Restful web services, Front-end, Back-end web based solutions, SOAP/REST, Web UI skills, Database expert SQL Server.
· Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 and 2019, ASP.NET and ASP.NET MVC, Microsoft .NET, SQL and SQL Server 2017, Database access with Microsoft Entity Framework. Windows Server, IIS, MSMQ, Microsoft SharePoint API.
· Distributed transactions, Security Certificates, CI/CD and GitHub
· Experience in writing code using languages such as (and not limited to) C#, HTML5, XML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Python, PHP, AngularJS, Node.js.Angular 2+ (desired).
· Knowledge of three-tier architecture.
· Troubleshooting and maintenance; addressing DB issues and data issues; providing customized repairs and support to application administrators.
