Responsibilities for External Candidates
Architect and implement a multi-environment Looker setup including development, staging/uat and production following Google's best practices
Integrate and establish robust CI/CD pipelines for LookML deployment using a source control repository platform such as Github or GitLab
Define modeling and development standards in LookML for scalability, maintenability and performance
Collaborate with a GCP Infrastructure team to ensure sufficient and secure connections between Looker and GCP data sources
Define and implement role-based access control and network security configurations to ensure secure access to Looker and connected data sources
Develop documentation and training materials for internal users
Act as a Looker Subject Matter Expert guiding teams on visualization best practices, and analytics enablement
Qualifications
Qualifications for External Candidates
Google Cloud Certified Architect or Professional Data Engineer required
Strong knowledge of network security, identify and access management (IAM) in GCP environments
Experience designing and deploying Looker implementations at scale, preferably on Google Cloud Platform is preferred
Understanding of LookML development and Looker platform administration
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Looker using Git-based workflows and automated deployment strategies
Experience integrating Looker with GCP Data Services such as BigQuery
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
