Technical Architect - AWS Platform

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Technical Architect – AWS Platform to design, develop, and optimize cloud-based solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructures, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Architecture Design: Develop highly scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures on AWS, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
• Solution Implementation: Lead the implementation of AWS-based solutions, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.
• Cloud Strategy & Roadmap: Define cloud adoption strategies, migration approaches, and AWS service optimizations to meet business goals.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure AWS environments comply with security standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Automation & DevOps: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK to automate deployments and infrastructure management.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously analyze cloud workloads and optimize for cost, performance, and availability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Design fault-tolerant architectures, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
• Monitoring & Logging: Set up monitoring and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, and third-party tools.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor teams, provide technical guidance, and promote best practices in cloud architecture and AWS services.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IT, with 5+ years focused on AWS cloud architecture and design.
• Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS, EKS, IAM, VPC, Route 53, CloudFront, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, serverless computing, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, security groups, NACLs, Direct Connect, VPN, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and automation tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, etc.).
• Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework, cost optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK stack, Prometheus, etc.).
• Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM), security policies, and encryption best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with AI/ML services on AWS (SageMaker, Comprehend, Textract).
• Background in big data and analytics (AWS Redshift, Glue, Kinesis, Athena).
