Tableau Developer

Responsibilities

• Utilize and blend data across programs and agencies developing advanced algorithms and/or scripts to improve health care and human services outcomes and delivery, assessing and measuring program effectiveness and performance, and reducing costs achieving financial benefit
• Improve the delivery and management of health and human services programs by utilizing advanced analytics including but not limited to advanced algorithms, data visualizations, and maps
• Create, develop and administrate the Tableau dashboards design, development and implementation and support production Tableau servers.
• Perform and collaborate in modeling, designing, and implementation of data warehouse data marts delivering reporting and data analytics using PL/SQL, Tableau, SAP Business Objects and Teradata tools.
• Gather business requirements and preparing analyses based on information from internal and external sources to evaluate and demonstrate program effectiveness and efficiency supporting projects and change requests.
• Create and maintain metadata Tableau framework / views / data marts.

Required Skills

• In depth knowledge of Tableau, Tableau Prep and Tableau Bridge (version 20 or later).
• Proven strong SQL developer.
• Skill in writing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL language, demonstrated technical innovation, strong understanding of databases and detailed knowledge of and experience with technical modeling.
• Knowledge of current computer technology.
• Skill in building and maintaining OLAP style Data Warehouses to support Enterprise Business Intelligence reporting tools.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships inside and outside the organization.
• Winning attitude and strong team player mindset.

Required Experience

• More than 6 years of experience developing, implementing and maintaining Tableau dashboards, visualizations and analytics.
• Prior experience working with API data to Tableau.
• Experience creating ad-hoc Business Objects Web Intelligence reports.
• Experience in Technical Writing and Documentation.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
