Tableau Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau.
• Provide support and expertise to the business community to assist with better utilization of Tableau.
• Understand business requirements, conduct analysis and recommend solution options.
• Translate customer requirements into functional and non-functional specifications for BI reports and analytics.
• Contribute to and support the organizations Business Intelligence strategy.
• Development and deployment of Tableau.
• Work closely with Business Analyst, Project Manager and internal stakeholders to deliver interactive visual reporting solutions.

Required Skills

• Good conceptual knowledge and working experience on report/dashboard creation, creating report specifications, integration test planning & testing, unit test planning & testing, UAT & implementation support.
• Advanced ability to identify and translate business requirements into technical and informational solutions.
• Strong ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to data and its infrastructure.
• Strong Tableau site administrator skills related to scheduling, folder/project management, user access, and dashboard performance.

Required Experience

• SQL experience including joining multiple tables to extract data in a large, complex and normalized data warehouse.
• Advanced Tableau experience developing sophisticated dashboards and visualizations.
• Desirable to have experience working with health care,especially Medicaid, claims data and information.
• Hands on ETL tool experience.
• Extensive hands-on development experience with both Tableau desktop and Tableau server.
• Prior experience in reports automation using Tableau Server.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
