Tableau Developer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Report and Dashboard Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain visually compelling dashboards and reports in Tableau to meet business requirements.
• Optimize Tableau reports for performance and usability.
• Ensure data visualization aligns with business goals and analytical insights.

2. Data Preparation and Integration:

• Use Tableau Prep for data cleaning, transformation, and preparation to ensure accurate and reliable datasets.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate and transform data from multiple sources.

3. SQL Expertise:

• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases.
• Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency in Tableau dashboards through robust SQL validation.

4. Customer Interaction and Communication:

• Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into actionable Tableau solutions.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to end users on Tableau tools and best practices.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

5. Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

• Monitor and maintain Tableau dashboards and underlying data sources to ensure continuous availability.
• Resolve technical issues and implement enhancements as required.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Tableau Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.
• Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write and debug complex queries.
• Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with other BI tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies.
