Systems Operations Engineer

You’ll collaborate across teams to support automated deployments, business continuity planning (BCP), and the migration of applications from on-premises to hybrid and public cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor production systems to ensure uptime, performance, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve low to moderately complex operational issues using sound judgment.
• Execute automated deployments and support BCP switchover activities.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to provide technical insights and recommendations.
• Manage work intake via dashboards, queues, and runbooks/playbooks.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or a related field (e.g., consulting, military, education).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Understanding of compliance requirements and operational best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4–6 years of experience with ServiceNow.
• 2–4 years of experience with Autosys or Autosys Scheduler.
• 2–4 years of experience with Unix/Linux systems.
• 1–2 years of experience with Azure Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, Aternity, Splunk, BigPanda, and Grafana.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms including Azure and Google Cloud.
• Experience with Windows Administration and Jira.
• Proven ability to execute runbooks and playbooks in production environments.
