Key job responsibilities:
* Design, set up and maintain test fixtures to verify software on real hardware.
* Utilize software and scripts for operations to keep things running and highly available.
* Troubleshoot software and hardware problems with pre-production equipment.
* Contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation, solving complex technical challenges around developer and engineering productivity and velocity especially as it relates to rapid test iteration.
* Design and build advanced automated build, test and release infrastructure.
* Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
Summary:
Qualifications:
* 2+ years of non-internship professional software development or IT experience.
* Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field.
* 2+ years of experience in any of the following: test lab support, operational hardware support.
* 2+ years of experience with test automation, debugging, building test tools and testing frameworks.
* 2+ years of experience working with Linux based systems.
* 2+ years of experience in computer networking (admin level).
Preferred qualifications
* Highly autonomous, very detail oriented, and willing to learn new skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to interact efficiently with peers and customers is required
* The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential
* Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, evaluate alternatives and develop processes and tools as needed to support the organization
* Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools and experience in developing product test harnesses and instrumenting products to gather test results
* Experience creating and expanding powerful automated testing tools and frameworks
