Systems Engineer

Job Duties :

Build physical and virtual servers using RedHat Satellite, VMware and Puppet Enterprise. Work on applications migration to transition servers across data centers. Create YAML scripts for server builds and configurations. Push configuration changes to PROD/DEV/UAT environments using YAML files in Puppet and Git Lab. Support applications team to migrate, install, configure, and manage their applications. Use Puppet Enterprise to manage servers by classifying them as groups based on the environment and application ID. Use Bitbucket (fork, push, pull, commit, add) to manage code based on environment (Prod, Dev, QA, Staging, Lab, Test) in centralized way and through Puppet, the code is pulled by the servers to configure the servers efficiently. Build servers using a script against VMWare for multiple servers at once. Use SolarWinds to manage and reserve IP’s and performed operation such as addition and deletion of IP addresses from the DNS server. Use RedHat Satellite to manage subscription, repositories, errata and patches for the RedHat Linux servers. Install and configure OpenShift master and node, resolve network issues related to OpenShift and CentOS. Use ServiceNow to manage Incidents and Requests based on priority. Write YAML files, using classes, modules and managing functionality on Puppet Enterprise to deploy servers and perform configuration management. Troubleshoot various Linux related issues such as SSH, Storage, Network, and DNS. Manage Active Directory users and groups to enable permissions to servers and file systems.

Work Location :

Various unanticipated work locations throughout the United States; relocation may be required. Must be willing to relocate.
