Systems Analyst

Under the IT Director’s supervision, the Systems Analyst II (GIS) supports, develops, and maintains complex IT and GIS systems. This role combines project management, system analysis, and technical support to enhance the Town’s technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and support GIS platforms (ArcGIS, Power BI, SharePoint, etc.).
• Design dashboards, maps, Story Maps, and data visualizations.
• Lead and manage GIS-related projects, timelines, and deliverables.
• Analyze business processes; provide tech solutions and documentation.
• Serve as data steward for assigned GIS datasets and ensure data governance.
• Troubleshoot system issues and manage upgrades and maintenance.
• Develop training materials and assist users in system use and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, GIS, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong project management and business analysis skills.
• Proficiency in GIS platforms, database systems, and Office 365.
• Ability to translate complex tech into plain language for users.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
