Job Description:
Here are some specifics :
- Mandatory : We're looking for a "System" oriented profile. Thus, someone with skills such as linux, microsoft, containerisation, AWS, dockers, kubernetes, Ansible
- Optional (appreciated) : "Network" experience, database, MariaDB
- 2 phases: (1) understanding our infrastructure and tools and helping our team on a day-to-day basis to prepare for migration (2) the profile will be working on the migration project itself
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a System/Network Administrator or similar role (with various operating systems and platforms (e.g. Windows, Linux))
- In-depth understanding of on premise and cloud-based infrastructure services such as AWS
- Experience with automation / patch management
- Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
- Experience with On Premise and Cloud Based environment (Microsoft AD, DNS, DHCP, Red Hat Linux, …)
- Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Python)
- Solid experience with Virtualization Tools: VMware
- Patch Management Tools: WSUS, SCCM
- Monitoring/SIEM Tools: Nagios, Cacti, Splunk
- Infrastructure storage: SAN
- IT Service Management: ITIL practices (incident and change management)
- Experienced with IT Security Standards (ISO, PCI DSS, …)
- Networking: Basic understanding of network protocols and devices
- The Netwok / System Staff Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure and will play a fundamental role in the successful migration of our services to cloud based environment.
- This includes managing physical and cloud servers, storage, and technology tools. They will also be responsible for ensuring the infrastructure's performance, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement new system structures and IT solutions to improve infrastructure performance especially in the cloud environment
- Work with the project team to identify and resolve technical issues
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure (on premises / cloud) to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Ensure the patching process, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and secure
- Develop and maintain scripts for automating client/server functions and increase system efficiency
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to resolve system issues
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
