Position's Contributions to Work Group:
- In this role you will be involved in specifying functional requirements and developing solution concepts to address customer needs across on-asset electronic systems and our digital platforms. You will be responsible for gathering new customer connectivity feature requests, refining these requests, guiding them through the architecture, development and validation process and ensuring their timely delivery. In this role you will collaborate with Client Digital architecture, platform and applications teams and execute on new technology implementation, research and evaluation of emerging digital technologies and solutions.
- This position will be in Peoria, IL within the Enterprise Connectivity team inside the Client Digital organization which has enterprise accountability for telematics and telecommunications product line strategy, rationalization, quality, and cost. This position will be critical in gathering connectivity (telematics) requirements for various projects across the industries and business units, consolidating and rationalizing that input, and considering tradeoffs in costs and functionality to drive optimal enterprise solutions for the global market. You will also be accountable for the delivery of the resulting product line solutions for factories and aftermarket.

Typical task breakdown:
- Responsible for gathering connectivity feature requests from customers. Follows policies, practices and standards for determining functional and non-functional requirements.
- Participating in addressing business requirements for applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver digital solutions that meet business results.
- Collaborate with performing organizations with respect to deliverables associated with requirements.
- Participates in the preparation of detailed documentation and requirements. Utilizes specific organizational methods, tools and techniques for requirements analysis.
- Collaborate with Client Digital, IC&S and product groups to design an application's technical infrastructure, such as specific databases, utilities, verification and validation approaches.
- Will require interfacing with customers including Construction Industries, Resource Industries, Energy & Transportation, and Aftermarket.
- Assist in creating, prioritizing, and maintaining the connectivity feature request backlog.
- Participates in the technical design of a specific application or solution (on-board/off-board). Selects and presents design alternatives for application(s) of small to medium complexity. Defines tasks, activities, deliverables, and key concerns of technical design. Assists in reviewing and documenting technical application designs.
- Leading the evaluation and deployment of new digital technologies and solutions to add or enhance existing digital technical capabilities.
- Works with specific development platforms, system and program design tools.
- Overseeing and ensuring the timely delivery of connectivity features through collaboration with development partners in both ICS and Client Digital. This entails shepherding features through architectural assessment, engineering forecasting, release commitment, validation and delivery. 
- Communicate the status of feature requests to stakeholders and customers in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
