Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Photo System Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in deploying and maintaining our innovative photo software solution onboard ships. As a Photo System Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our infrastructure team, travel to ships for deployment, and ensure the smooth operation of our system.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to ships to deploy the Photo software solution, ensuring successful installation and integration with existing systems.
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure team to spin up servers, configure networks, and ensure seamless connectivity for the photo system.
  • Request and test firewall rules to ensure proper access and security for the photo software.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for the photo system, addressing any technical issues that arise during deployment or operation.
  • Work closely with onboard staff to train them on using the photo system effectively and efficiently.
  • Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to enhance reliability and speed.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and training purposes.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the photo system and processes.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting IT applications, with a strong emphasis on system deployment and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in network configuration, firewall management, SQL databases, IIS, .Net framework, Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), and API integration.
  • Experience working in the cruise industry is preferred, with knowledge of the unique challenges and requirements of shipboard IT systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers
