System Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled System Engineer – Security with 3 to 5 years of experience. The primary focus of this role is on securing IT infrastructure by implementing and managing robust security solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, with security as the core area of expertise. This role involves working in EU shifts to ensure comprehensive protection against evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement, manage, and maintain security solutions to protect the organization's IT infrastructure.

Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring swift resolution and minimal impact.

Harden Windows and Linux servers by implementing security best practices and configurations.

Manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection tools.

Conduct vulnerability assessments, remediate security gaps, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Configure and monitor security logging and auditing systems on Windows and Linux platforms.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and processes.

Automate security tasks, such as patch management and configuration enforcement, using scripting tools.

Stay updated on emerging security threats and trends, recommending necessary countermeasures.

Document security policies, procedures, and incident response strategies.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in Windows and Linux server administration with a strong focus on security.

Proficiency in configuring and managing security tools, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.

Familiarity with industry-standard security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks).

Knowledge of network security, encryption protocols, and access control mechanisms.

Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automating security tasks.
