System Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer – Microsoft Domain Consolidation with 5 years of experience to support our Active Directory (AD) domain migration and consolidation project. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft AD, domain migrations, and Azure AD. This role involves planning and executing domain consolidation, troubleshooting AD replication, and integrating Azure AD for seamless identity management.

The position requires a deep understanding of AD trust relationships, cross-forest migrations, DNS management, and hybrid identity solutions. The candidate should also be proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and security best practices in Active Directory environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute Active Directory domain consolidation and migration across multiple domains.
• Configure domain trusts, SID history, and user/group consolidation strategies.
• Troubleshoot AD replication issues, domain join failures, and authentication problems.
• Manage and optimize Azure AD Connect synchronization and hybrid identity solutions.
• Implement Group Policy Objects (GPO) management and migration.
• Ensure secure integration of Azure AD with on-premises AD for seamless authentication.
• Monitor and resolve DNS and name resolution issues post-migration.
• Automate repetitive AD management tasks using PowerShell scripting.
• Document migration plans, troubleshooting steps, and security policies.
• Work with cross-functional teams to minimize business impact during the migration.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory (AD) administration and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience in AD Domain Migrations & Consolidations (cross-forest, intra-forest).
• Hands-on experience with Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, and hybrid identity solutions.
• Deep understanding of DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for AD automation and reporting.
