System Analyst

Summary:

Also candidate should be comfortable working in EST time zone from 11am EST – 8pm EST.

Must have Java, DB Skills Kafka good to have:

Analyze the documented business requirements and translate them into technical requirements and System specs.

Analyze documented business requirements and identify, investigate potential gaps/issues and recommend changes.

Develop a deep understanding of how systems will talk to each other and what may be the interactions between systems

Present design considerations to software architects and developers who transform the requirements into Code

Develop specifications, diagrams and flowcharts, Non-functional requirements for programmers to follow

Use techniques such as sampling, model building and data analysis to ensure the solution is efficient, cost-effective and financially feasible

Unit testing and demos

Collaborate with Dev Manager, Scrum Master and Tech Leads to manage and monitor project progress and report status to Senior Leadership

Collaborate with and support QA, UAT, Prod Support teams. Troubleshoot system issues, review logs, debug code, identify workarounds and work with developers to fix issues.

Develop and implement maintenance procedures, monitor systems health, gather system statistics

Education, skills and experience required:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience working with IT Systems and application development and maintenance projects
• Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
• Strong computer, hardware, software, and analytical skills
• Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and maintenance of IT systems
• Technical skills - system design, DB queries, web design, basic programming, system testing, debugging and trouble shooting
• Experience working in Agile methodologies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
