System Administrator

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery.
• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
• Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Perform server and security audits.
• Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
• Assist in completion of special projects on as needed basis.

Required Skills

• Understanding of SAN technology, SAN Networking and support/li>
• Development skills on VMware ESX or other enterprise level virtualization technologies.
• Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail.
• Should have strong planning skills.

Required Experience

• Experience working in and supporting cloud environments such as Azure and AWS.
• Experience administering Microsoft Server and Unix/Linux server environments.
• Experience with administering Juniper switches, routers and corporate firewall.
• Experience imaging desktop systems in both Microsoft and Apple environments.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
