Description

Job Description:

  • In-depth understanding of Object Storage architectures, particularly those based on CEPH
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience developing and integrating storage and API solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native tools like Cilium, Istio, Argo, and Open Telemetry
  • Expertise in large-scale object storage systems, particularly CEPH or similar distributed storage technologies
  • Familiarity with bare-metal hardware and Solidgm NVMe QLC storage solutions
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in large-scale infrastructure and storage environments
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the initiative to convert Object Storage clusters from Gen1 to Gen2 across global data centers and internal clusters. This involves ensuring a smooth migration of metadata and uninterrupted service for users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement a solution that seamlessly transitions endpoints from Gen1 to Gen2 without the need for data migration
  • Work with CEPH-based storage infrastructure and manage hardware configurations that include Solidgm NVMe QLC drives
  • Develop and maintain Python-based applications that support Object Storage front-end and API functionality
  • To ensure the scalability, reliability, and observability of the object storage system, utilize Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies, such as Cilium, Istio, Argo, and Open Telemetry
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to storage, networking, and API integrations to ensure high performance and availability
  • Document the capabilities and limitations of the current Gen1 system and define clear guidelines for the Gen2 upgrade process
