In-depth understanding of Object Storage architectures, particularly those based on CEPH
Strong programming skills in Python, with experience developing and integrating storage and API solutions
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native tools like Cilium, Istio, Argo, and Open Telemetry
Expertise in large-scale object storage systems, particularly CEPH or similar distributed storage technologies
Familiarity with bare-metal hardware and Solidgm NVMe QLC storage solutions
Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in large-scale infrastructure and storage environments
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the initiative to convert Object Storage clusters from Gen1 to Gen2 across global data centers and internal clusters. This involves ensuring a smooth migration of metadata and uninterrupted service for users.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement a solution that seamlessly transitions endpoints from Gen1 to Gen2 without the need for data migration
Work with CEPH-based storage infrastructure and manage hardware configurations that include Solidgm NVMe QLC drives
Develop and maintain Python-based applications that support Object Storage front-end and API functionality
To ensure the scalability, reliability, and observability of the object storage system, utilize Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies, such as Cilium, Istio, Argo, and Open Telemetry
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to storage, networking, and API integrations to ensure high performance and availability
Document the capabilities and limitations of the current Gen1 system and define clear guidelines for the Gen2 upgrade process
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
