SSRS Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SSRS Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality reporting solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). This role requires a strong understanding of database concepts, data warehousing, and business intelligence principles. The SSRS Developer will collaborate closely with business users, data analysts, and other developers to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective and efficient reports.
 
Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy complex reports and dashboards using SSRS.
• Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for data extraction and manipulation.Work with business stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
• Create and maintain data sources, datasets, and report models within SSRS.
• Implement various reporting features such as drill-down, drill-through, sub-reports, parameters, and expressions.
• Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues, including data discrepancies and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with database administrators and other developers to ensure seamless integration of reporting solutions.
• Document reporting solutions, data dictionaries, and technical specifications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SSRS and business intelligence.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven experience (typically 3+ years) as an SSRS Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL programming.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) – report design, development, deployment, and administration.
• Solid understanding of relational database concepts and data warehousing principles.
• Experience with data modeling and ETL processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, SSIS, SSAS) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
