SRE Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced GeoSpatial Sr. Engineer with 12 to 15 years of expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Amazon EKS, Terraform, and AWS DevOps. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual capable of driving geospatial projects that align with company goals and deliver meaningful societal impact. The position operates during the day shift, with no travel required.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable geospatial solutions using Amazon EKS

• Manage infrastructure deployment and optimization using Terraform

• Apply AWS DevOps practices to streamline development and delivery processes

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geospatial data into existing systems

• Maintain clear documentation for geospatial systems and processes

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability

• Implement security best practices for geospatial data protection

• Analyze geospatial data to support strategic decision-making

• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous learning

• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance

• Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance geospatial capabilities

• Contribute to best practices and standards for geospatial engineering

• Support the company’s mission by delivering impactful geospatial solutions

Qualifications:

• Proven experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS

• Proficiency in infrastructure as code with Terraform

• Strong background in AWS DevOps, including CI/CD and automation

• Solid understanding of geospatial data formats and processing

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends
