Responsibilities

  • Build and support Treasury applications and solutions as a part of a global technology team.
  • Conduct SQL Server lunch-and-learn sessions for application developers.
  • Need to be comfortable mentoring senior level engineers in cloud technologies.
  • Ensure that new database code meets company standards for readability, reliability and performance.
  • Advise developers on the most efficient database designs (tables, datatypes, stored procedures, functions, etc).
  • Design indexes for existing applications, choosing when to add or remove indexes.
  • Ensure quality level of documentation is produced and maintained in regards to data solution architecture.
  • Assist developers with improving the performance of that query by tweaking it or modifying indexes.
  • Work closely with business users and analysts to create solutions.

Required Skills

  • Advanced SQL development knowledge using MS SQL Server.
  • Database and SQL performance tuning, troubleshooting skills.
  • Should also have some web applications development experience using Microsoft/.NET.
  • Knowledge of change data capture (CDC) in SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of Data warehousing concepts.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and relational database design.
  • Knowledge of reporting BI Tools like MicroStrategy.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter, energetic, independent work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Required Experience

  • At least 8+ years of Microsoft SQL Server ETL development experience.
  • Extensive experience with T-SQL coding and stored procedure development.
  • Extensive experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) development.
  • Extensive experience with performance tuning (deciphering execution plans etc).
  • Experienced with SQL installation on standalone and cluster servers.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field
