Sr. Software Engineer

The Sr. Software Engineer - Stibo Platform at Client is a strategic role that requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) and data integration technologies. This role will drive the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust solutions on the Stibo Platform, ensuring systems are not only reactive to current needs but also proactively aligned with the latest MDM trends. The ideal candidate will oversee synchronization of lower environments with Production, maintain platform updates at N-1 release, and enforce stringent controls over changes affecting these environments.

Additionally, the Sr. Software Engineer will lead the RunOps team, ensuring adherence to SLAs and fostering strong relationships with Stibo and other key partners. Collaborating with senior engineers and architects, this role will also involve strategizing and estimating new initiatives, keeping Client at the forefront of retail technology innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Development & Maintenance: Lead the development and maintenance of solutions on the Stibo Platform to align with business needs and industry best practices.
• Environment Synchronization: Ensure proper synchronization between lower environments and Production, maintaining platform updates to at least N-1 release.
• RunOps Leadership: Lead the RunOps team, ensuring adherence to SLAs and effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners such as Stibo.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior engineers and architects to strategize, estimate, and plan new platform functionalities, including detailed timelines and resource allocation.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest industry developments and technologies in MDM, applying this knowledge to drive improvements and innovations.
• Governance: Maintain strong governance over development environments, ensuring seamless platform upgrades and system integrity.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure effective communication and operational success.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in Master Data Management (MDM), with a minimum of 5 years on the Stibo Platform or comparable MDM platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of MDM technologies and data integration processes.
• Strong experience with Java, XML, XSLT, SQL, and APIs.
• Proven ability to manage and synchronize development environments with Production systems.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and external partners.
• Experience in leading technical teams, specifically RunOps teams, and ensuring compliance with SLAs.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve challenges in complex MDM implementations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in strategic planning and providing detailed estimates for platform development initiatives.
• Proven track record in driving platform enhancements based on industry trends and technological advancements.
• Familiarity with additional MDM platforms or integration technologies beyond Stibo.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers and foster a collaborative work environment.
