  • Responsible for the administration of Software Asset Management capabilities in ServiceNow
  • Data integrity of SAM databases are critical, and emphasis is on the continuous improvement of its accuracy, completeness and quality through ongoing gap analysis, creation of workflow, enabling improved processes will be key to the success of this effort
  • This role will work closely with the ServiceNow system administrators and configuration item (CI) owners and will focus on simplifying, automating, and scaling SAM practices across the enterprise
  • Identifies opportunities to improve model management, asset lifecycle management, and the measurement of software effective license position (ELP) for IT assets globally
  • Coordinates and leads ITAM process improvement efforts, supports the implementation and testing of code/modules in compliance with architectural guidelines and adheres to change management policies and procedures
  • Builds and maintains dashboard scorecards for effective reporting on ITAM health
  • Set rules for identification, reconciliation, and relationships to maintain quality of data in SAM databases
  • Acts as the subject matter expert (SME) for ITAM tools and processes
  • Educates users on SAM processes and tools
  • Provides guidance on how to self-serve, interpret data, and make more efficient use of the capabilities these tools can deliver
  • Works closely with key client stakeholders
  • Provides insights from SAM data that will allow technology leaders to prioritize improved hardware and software refresh policies and allow for accurate and proactive budget forecasting
  • Uses ServiceNow workflows to accomplishes this task
  • Cross-functional collaboration and integration support with ServiceNow platform including ITSM and CMDB
  • Configure and maintain the Asset management systems to support Internal deliverables
  • Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions
  • Executes process controls reporting compliance metrics for process and data standards
  • Identifies opportunities and submits proposals for improvement with respect to tools, training, process, procedures, and work instructions
  • Expands on existing SAM license management integrations with ’s largest enterprise software vendors
  • Works to standardize processes and builds this into the SAM design, based on Business needs
  • Follows all defined technology standards and processes (i.e IT Governance, SM&G, Architecture, etc.), and provides input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed
  • Maintains a proper balance between business and operational risk
