Sr. QA Engineer

Job Duties :

Under limited supervision, develop complex test strategies, identify structural and functional testing techniques and tools, and implement testing process; gather and interpret specifications and user requirements; responsible for full STLC, and project verification and validation; write requirements and develop test plans, cases, and scenarios; identify and implement QA methodologies; plan and execute functional, compatibility, and negative testing; review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide feedback; write and record scripts for test automation; enhance and maintain test scripts according to requirements; perform review of code and automation strategy; coordinate manual and automation testing; perform unit, integration, system and user acceptance testing; generate test result reports; log, review and analyze defects; perform analysis, determine required changes and forward results to development team; perform retesting and regression testing after the defects are resolved; monitor and report test status to management; mentor and assist less experienced team members with the above, as necessary; and utilize: JBoss, WAS, Tomcat, Windows, AIX, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Selenium, QTP, Quality Center, SOAP UI, Visual Source Safe, SVN, Jira, ALM, PL/SQL, VB Script, Java, HTML, C/C++ and related tools.

Minimum Qualifications Education :

Bachelor – Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).

Experience  : Five (5) years of progressive experience as a Software Developer, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Programmer or in a related occupation;

Other Requirements :

Experience must include work with JBoss, WAS, Selenium and SOAP UI; must be willing to relocate
