Sr. Python Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Should have good hands-on experience as a QA engineer and at least 4 years of hands-on experience in Python automation and pytest framework.
• Experience in automation of web application, API and backend automation
• Basics of Selenium/automation testing is mandatory. Should know the basics of web elements, object identification, challenges faced during test automation, etc.
• Hands on experience with code repository like GIT or Bitbucket
• Hands on experience on linux commands
• Should have debugging skills with web applications including web standards. Should be well versed with negative testing and have different ideas on how to break the system.
• Very productive, able to multitask on multiple projects throughout the day or week
• Execute test cases either manually or using automation test tool during In-sprint testing: 80% automation 20% manual
• Hands-on experience in SDLC documentation like Business Requirement Documents, test data, automation scripts, Test cases, Change request Document and Help document etc.,
• Experience in Agile, QA processes, Manual, Integration, System, Acceptance, Regression and Unit testing
• Should have understanding of backend testing skills, SQL commands, database testing using SQL server
• Understanding & hands-on with parallel testing and cross browser automation testing tools (Selenium Grid or BrowserStack or Selenoid or LambdaTest)
• Ability to understand complex data flows between various internal and external applications in order to design complex hybrid tests
• Should possess good communication skills for client facing roles and work with US/UK (non-Indian) team, and other partners to understand the requirements and test implementation
• Quick learner and self-starter who requires minimal supervision.

Good to have:

• Hands on Experience in Performance testing using any tools like Jmeter, Locust, etc.
• Hands on experience with Playwright-Python
• Hands on experience on CI/CD tools (like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.) and related job configuration, setup etc.
• Experience working with Fixed Income/Equities/FX domain
• Experience of containerization and orchestration technologies such as docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of modern dashboards such as Grafana/Kibana for data visualization
