Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead network and security project delivery, with 70% focus on networking (design, implementation, and support) and 30% on security responsibilities.
  • Design, implement, and support network services and protocols, including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, LAN switching technologies, and Next-Gen Firewalls (Fortinet preferred; Palo Alto acceptable).
  • Manage and implement firewall, VPN, and security projects, including compliance initiatives for PCI and SOX.
  • Develop automation solutions to streamline network operations using scripting languages (Python, GO, PowerShell) and tools like GitHub, Ansible, and REST APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring transparency and open communication on project progress and impediments.
  • Oversee end-to-end implementation of major network initiatives, including documentation, protocol management, and cloud integration.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in public cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP acceptable).
    • Strong scripting skills (Python, GO, PowerShell) and experience with REST APIs, JSON, and YAML.
    • Familiarity with Nutanix (or similar hyper-converged technology) and virtualization platforms (VMware and Acropolis Hypervisors).
    • Experience with load balancing (F5 preferred) and network monitoring/management tools (Splunk, NetScout, Zabbix, Prime, ISE, Aruba Central, Netbox, IPAM).
    • Proven track record with network protocols, firewall setup, VPN management, and securing infrastructure solutions.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Associate’s degree or equivalent technical certifications/experience.
    • At least 3 years of experience in Active Directory environments, with a background in desktop and remote support preferred.
    • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent teamwork, communication, and documentation skills.
