Sr. Network Engineer

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience administering network monitoring tools in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, MPLS, BGP, and other related protocols.
• Hands-on experience with SNMP data collection and troubleshooting, SNMP trap collection, NetFlow collection and troubleshooting, configuring alerts, and creating dashboards using network performance management tools.
• Experience with Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu).
• Proficiency in ServiceNow and Event Management solutions.
• Commitment to continuously improving and automating technical tasks.

 Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

• Experience with Broadcom/CA Spectrum, Broadcom/CA Performance Management, and Broadcom/CA Network Flow Analysis.
• Familiarity with Riverbed NetIM and Riverbed NetProfiler.
• Hands-on experience with IBM SevOne NPM.
• REST API scripting experience.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• ITIL certification.
• Experience in the airline industry and related technologies.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities:

• Global Network Administration: Strong understanding of working in a global, comprehensive WAN/LAN networking environment.
• Network Telemetry Migration: Lead migration efforts of network monitoring telemetry to a new solution, ensuring the continuity of current capabilities while expanding new functionalities.
• Device Configuration & Monitoring: Oversee the configuration and monitoring of network devices across central and remote facilities, including corporate headquarters, data centers, international call centers, airport locations, and regional offices.
• Monitoring Tool Administration: Manage and administer monitoring tools, including device discovery and management, product installations, maintenance updates, security patches, and changes to telemetry systems with minimal operational disruption.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical support documentation and diagrams for network monitoring tool infrastructure.
• Project Management: Contribute to multiple technical projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Industry Awareness: Stay updated on the latest industry and network technology trends.
• Continuous Learning: Complete internal training and certification requirements.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related duties as required.
