We are seeking Senior Cisco Network Engineering Architect to lead and oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of enterprise network infrastructure. This role will focus on Cisco s advanced networking solutions, with a strong emphasis on Wireless, DNA Center (DNAC), Identity Services Engine (ISE), and Firepower Threat Defense (FTD). The ideal candidate will act as a strategic liaison between our internal teams and managed service providers (MSPs), ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing network environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement advanced Cisco networking solutions across wireless, security, and identity platforms.
- Provide day-to-day oversight and governance of network architecture initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT and security strategies.
- Develop and document high-level and low-level network designs, future-state architectural roadmaps, and network topology standards.
- Define, establish, and implement best-in-class network policies, procedures, and configuration baselines.
- Develop and maintain runbooks and operational playbooks for repeatable and consistent network operations.
- Act as a senior-level liaison between internal stakeholders and external Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to ensure seamless integration and delivery of network services.
- Lead network optimization and transformation efforts by leveraging Cisco DNAC, ISE, and Firepower FTD.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other network engineers and support staff.
- Stay current with industry trends and Cisco technologies to ensure solutions remain modern, secure, and efficient.
Required Technologies & Expertise
- Cisco Wireless design and deployment of enterprise wireless networks.
- Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) automation, assurance, and policy-based network management.
- Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) access control and identity management.
- Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Next-Gen Firewall and advanced threat protection (highly preferred).
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications or equivalent experience considered.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering and architecture, including hands-on design and implementation of Cisco technologies.
- Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or Cisco Certified Specialist (preferred).
- Proven experience developing network architecture documentation, runbooks, and policy guidelines.
- Strong understanding of enterprise network security, segmentation, and access control best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
