Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Software Engineer with expertise in C# .NET, SQL Server,

AWS Data technologies (including Athena, Glue, PySpark, Scala, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Airflow), and financial reconciliation.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a knack for debugging, and an ability to correct migration scripts written in .NET C# and TSQL.

They should possess excellent communication skills and be capable of effectively working with multiple business and external stakeholders, as well as lead offshore teams in different time zones.

*Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data migration solutions using C# .NET and SQL Server.
• Develop and manage data pipelines using AWS data technologies including Athena, Glue, PySpark, Scala, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Airflow.
• Review, debug, and optimize migration scripts written in .NET C# and T-SQL.
• Conduct thorough testing and verification of data migration processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with financial teams to understand reconciliation requirements and incorporate them into migration solutions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot discrepancies discovered during data migration and implement corrective measures.
• Document technical specifications, processes, and results for future reference and audits.
• Work closely with project managers, test teams, engineering teams and business stakeholders to deliver migration projects on time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer specializing in data migration.
• Proficiency in C# .NET and SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of AWS data technologies including Athena, Glue, PySpark, Scala, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Airflow.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting.
• In-depth understanding of financial reconciliation processes.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to analyze system behaviors and implement necessary corrections.
• Experience with writing and optimizing T-SQL scripts.
• Strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple business and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively with offshore teams across different time zones.
• Excellent structuring and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the financial services or Ecommerce industry especially on the GL and financial/transaction reconciliations.
• Knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations.
• Familiarity with data migration tools and best practices.
