Description

Job Duties :

Under limited supervision, perform complex design, development and implementation of mainframe and ETL applications; responsible for full SDLC; gather and analyze user requirements; analyze application for enhancements or changes; translate business requirements and functional designs into technical designs; design, develop, integrate and support application packaging solutions; implement newly developed features; resolve issues and abends in the event of any failure of jobs or applications; perform root cause analysis, and provide reason and fix for any issues; coordinate application migration; set up test environments, manipulate test data and perform unit, system and other testing; perform code review to develop and adapt technical solutions/options; execute jobs, verify test results, and troubleshoot/analyze discrepancies; monitor and report test status to management; execute performance tuning; evaluate software installation errors and coordinate fixes; coordinate installation of applications and updates; create custom actions for install, repair and uninstall actions; conduct technical discussions; mentor and assist less experienced team members, as necessary; and utilize: Windows, UNIX, DB2, IMS, Ab-Initio, ESP, Putty, File Manager, Changeman, View Direct, CA Platinum, REXX, COBOL, Easytrieve, PL1, JCL, SyncSort, SQL, CICS and related tools.

Minimum Qualifications Education :

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronic Engineering, Information Systems or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

Experience  : Five (5) years of progressive experience as a Software Developer, Systems Analyst, Programmer or in a related occupation;

Other Requirements:

Experience must include five (5) years of work with DB2, IMS, JCL and COBOL; must be willing to relocate
