We are seeking an experienced Sr. Linux Administrator specialist who is passionate about technology, collaboration, and can confidently support multiple customer environments. You will be crucial in stakeholder communication, advising, and translating business needs into secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. Success in this role relies on a firm grasp of networking principles and adaptability to meet tight deadlines in an ambiguous and dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tooling to automate monitoring, metrics collection, analysis, and self-service solutions for enhanced team operations and infrastructure management
- Provide after-hours support by participating in the on-call rotation schedule, remaining readily available to promptly address and resolve issues that arise outside of standard business hours
- Update and manage customer specific golden RHEL images, perform DISA STIGs, run SCAP checks, and manage OS patching
- Perform and coordinate incident diagnosis and root cause analysis, addressing OS and application issues, including crashes, and performance concerns, through comprehensive troubleshooting
- Conduct daily system health checks to ensure the integrity and availability of servers, review system and application logs, and take proactive measures to prevent potential issues
- Proficient in debugging complex cloud environment issues and strong in Linux/Unix troubleshooting and log file forensics
- Proficient and experienced in patch management using DNF. Must possess the ability to diagnose and resolve issues with automated patching processes using Ansible
- You will be responsible for ensuring system availability, administration, and compliance, applying your expertise in automation to streamline daily administrative tasks using Python, Bash Shell, and Ansible
- Experienced in working with and managing servers in various cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), with the capability to troubleshoot storage-related issues effectively
Qualifications & Experience:
Basic Qualifications
- Current Linux certification (LPIC-2, RHCSA, SCA, etc..) or ability to obtain within six months of start
- 10+ years Linux Administration experience supporting production environments
- Experienced writing IT automation scripts using Python or another interpreted language
- Strong Linux/Unix troubleshooting and log file forensics
- Experience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or other server/configuration management tool
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in Enterprise-level environments
- Prior experience in cloud environments, particularly hyperscale platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
