Responsibilities

  • Maintain the current DocStore platform in a proactive way.
  • Develop new features as requested by the business.
  • Monitor systems to provide accurate, up-to-minute insight of systems status.
  • Administer local and remote Linux and Windows servers.
  • Build and maintain virtual machine and physical servers.
  • Execute system tests and advise the project team during its release cycle..
  • Manage MYSQL replication and Percona clusters.
  • Triage requests from software developers.
  • Ensure all (security) aspects of the DocStore platform are up-to-date and new technologies are explored.

Required Skills

  • Expert Linux administration (Debian/Centos), including previous experience with LVM, iptables, permissions, networking, tuning, and clustering.
  • Expert at building and maintaining virtual platforms such as KVM/XEN/VMWARE.
  • Expert-level knowledge in: HTML5, CSS, Angular 5+, Bootstrap.
  • Expert administration of AWS services such as EC2/Route53/S3/CloudWatch.
  • Advanced administration of MySQL master-master replication and Percona clusters.
  • Good understanding of network fundamentals for switching and routing.
  • Proficient scripting languages like Bash, Python, Ruby or similar.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps with strong Linux SysAdmin background.
  • Experience in 24×7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available environment.
  • Experience with tools used in development environments, build systems, databases.
  • Prior work experience using scripting languages, configuration management tools, and command execution frameworks.
  • Previous experience in application monitoring tools.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field
